ROAR recognizes that youth are valuable members of the community and the coalition. We cannot make decisions about the needs of the youth without including their voice. ROAR facilitates two “Youth Advisory Councils” at Animas High School in Durango, CO, and Bayfield High School in Bayfield, CO. The coalition looks to the youth to promote and facilitate the change they want to see in their community.

No policy should be decided by any representative without the full and direct participation of members of the group(s) affected by that policy.
